Clubs—9
Enrolled—97
Salvations—10
5-Day Clubs® are now done for the summer. We praise the Lord for the good summer we had, and the children we were able to reach. During the month of August, we had three clubs—in Hart, Ludington, and Fremont. The club in Fremont was at Cornerstone Christian Academy and hosted by a new hostess. This was also our last club of the summer with a total of 18 children enrolled. It was a very strong ending to our summer. A total of 32 children attended our clubs during August. Even though we did not have as many clubs as last summer, we did have more children receive Christ. We are thankful for all the hosts and hostesses that had clubs this summer. We hope they will all have clubs next summer. We are thankful for all the teens that helped us teach these clubs.
All summer, we had a missionary project to raise money for three interns that are working at CEF Headquarters. In all the clubs we had, we were able to raise $721.
Teen Activities
We are so thankful for the teens that worked with us to reach the children. All of them got along so well. During August, we had different activities to help pull them together. We had a cookout at the Rumbles home, a pool party at the Thomas home, and the chapter cookout at Silver Lake State Park. All of them made it to at least one of the activities, all had a great time being together.

The Good News Club® ministry will be begin the end of September and the beginning of October. Because of COVID-19, after school activities will not be held in the schools where we have had clubs in the past. So, we have been working at finding places outside the schools where we can have clubs. The Lord has opened doors for possible places to have clubs. We will also be offering virtual clubs. There are already two clubs that are set to start, and we hope that more will start soon after. Our goal, for this ministry year, is to have 13 clubs throughout the chapter. So, be in prayer that we will be able to find the people and places to have clubs. If there are children around you, you can have a club to reach the children near you. Pray and ask the Lord how you can help us reach the children for Christ. If you know children that might be able to come virtually, send us their contact information and we can send them a link to the club.
Workers are also needed because we have lost some of our workers due to the pandemic and other physical needs. Please be in prayer that we will be able to find workers to replace the ones that we have lost. If you would like to be a teacher or helper, please contact our office.
Trainings
We plan to have one or two trainings this fall. Teaching Children Effectively™ is a 33-hour, college-level course we offer through our Children’s Ministries Institute®. Because it is a college-level course, there is a cost and it will meet once or twice a week for a number of weeks. Another training we offer is Good News Club Quick Start training. This can be done in person with videos or online, in one or more days. If you have questions about any of the trainings, please contact our office.
