Anniversary
October 1, 2014, I became the director of the Shoreline Chapter. Wendy and I are so happy that the Lord led us here and we have enjoyed doing ministry here. We have seen the Lord do so much in the past six years, and we are excited to see what the Lord is going to do in the future.

Good New Club® ministry is back. In the past, we would have five to eight clubs start at the same time. Because of COVID-19, and all the new precautions that schools have to take, we are not able to have clubs in the schools. We have been working at trying to get clubs in the areas where we have had school clubs. So far, we have had our ups and downs during this process. We were able to get one club started in Hart. The club meets at Faith Christian Fellowship.
This is the same place where we had club last year. The club started on September 30, with four children. This was a good start for this club, and we hope it will grow. We have been able to get some interest from churches to host a club in their church or have members host a club in their home. There are also plans to have virtual clubs for the children that cannot be at a club in person. Be in prayer for us as we travel looking for places to have clubs. Also, we are in need of more teachers and helpers in these clubs. Pray that the Lord will lead us to the right people.
Teen Activity
On September 26, we had our Back to School Bash for the teens that worked with us this summer. Seven teens attended along with some adults. Two of the teens were new. We had a cookout, played some games, and some went on a hike. All the teens that came had a great time, and really enjoyed seeing each other. Some had not seen each other since summer ended. I am very pleased with the teens that the Lord led our way. There are plans for more get-togethers in the future.
Special Thank You
David Juhl has served on our committee for 20 years, six of them as chairman. David has been a great blessing to this chapter and the Lord used him in a great way. He feels it is time to step off the committee for now.
Pastor Elvin Hardin served on the committee the past three years. The Lord has given him a lot of spiritual wisdom that has had a huge impact on not just the committee, but on some of our summer missionaries as well. He also felt that it was time to step down.
We thank both of these men for their time on the committee. They will be greatly missed.
We would like to introduce our new committee members, Prentiss and Melody Rumble. They joined in September and are very excited about being on the committee. Two of their daughters were our summer missionaries. They are active members of Country Bible Church. Welcome to the team!!
Trainings
We plan to have one or two trainings this fall. Teaching Children Effectively™ is a 33-hour, college-level course we offer through our Children’s Ministries Institute®. Because it is a college-level course, there is a cost and it will meet once or twice a week for a number of weeks. Another training we offer is Good News Club Quick Start training. This can be done in person with videos or online, in one or more days. If you have questions about any of the trainings, please contact our office.
