Last month was a great month for our Good News Club® program. During the month of October, we had seven new clubs. This brings our total to ten clubs, all in schools. Several of these clubs had a great start, but some of them had a slow start. We had one club that went two weeks without children because we were not able to hand out invitations throughout the school. After prayer and some teachers volunteering to hand out invitations, five children came to club. We had another club that started with just one child, but the one who came was excited to be there and was going to invite other friendsThe clubs that were able to start in September showed an increase during the month of October. We did get some challenges with some clubs, but we always need to remember that God is in control, and He will bring us the children. During October, we had 103 new children start attending our clubs, along with the new clubs that started.
Wendy and I had the opportunity to meet with Walkerville school that used to have a club but not in the past couple of years. We were able to meet with leaders of the afterschool program who want to see the club restarted. It was a great meeting and both Wendy and I left encouraged. Please pray that we will be able to get the club restarted in this school year.
