This school year has been a challenging time for everyone, including Child Evangelism Fellowship® regarding holding Good News Clubs. A few schools let us pass out the invitations, but we had to find different locations for the clubs. We had to become creative with ways to reach out to the children. We were very thankful for the people and churches who reached out to us and opened their doors for the clubs.

The Good News Clubs will be coming to an end at the end of March. We would like to do a six-week Good News Club® in your area starting in April. We are asking you to consider hosting a club at your home. We would be honored to be able to work with you to reach the children in your area. Maybe you have a lot of grandchildren whom you could invite to a club in your home.

Remember, this is one day a week for about 1½ hours, for six weeks. Could you, would you, be able to open your home for children to hear the Gospel of Christ? By Kathy Thomas

It is so exciting to be planning for our Christian Youth in Action® training. The planning is going forward very well, and before we know it, CYIA™ will be here. It this point we are planning to do a state-wide training at Grace Christian University in Grand Rapids. Please be in prayer with us that we will be able to have training at the university. If COVID-19 restrictions prevent us from doing so, we do have other options. Pray for CYIA leadership as we plan for a great training.

Another exciting thing is that we already have seven teens from our chapter who already have their applications in, and others are praying about going. Two of the teens are planning to be paid summer missionaries. Each of the teens is responsible for raising funds for their summer ministry, and all have sent out our letter. The funds they raise will cover their pay (if a paid summer missionary), training, transportation, and other summer needs. We need to raise a total of $10,200 at this point to cover all our teens. If more sign up, the cost will go up. Pray that we will be able to raise the funds needed. If you would like to give to help our teens you make the check payable to CEF®, and designate it for Summer Ministries.

Work Wanted

Our summer missionaries are looking for ways they can raise funds for the summer. If you need something done around your home and need some young help, we could do what you need. Call the office, and we will set up a time that we can help you. If you would like, you can give a donation to CEF summer ministries.

Teen Activity

We had a great time in February getting together with our summer missionaries for some free-hand canvas painting and homemade pizza! Our teens enjoyed seeing each other again and are already looking forward to June when they can spend two whole weeks together at our Christian Youth in Action training in Grand Rapids! Our next teen get-together is coming up on March 12. We would love to have teens from your church come and join us for some fun! Contact us for more details
