Director’s Address
We hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The year 2018 finished very strong here in Shoreline and we are excited to see what the Lord is going to do in 2019. All of our Good News Clubs did well during the month of December. Three of our clubs had an increase in attendance. We had a total of six new children start attending. All of our clubs took a break during the holidays, and will resume during the month of January. Pray that the children that were attending will remember to come back, and new children will start coming.
On December 8, we had our annual Christmas Party Club for the Shelby school district at New Era Bible Church. This is the fourth year that we have done this Party Club. This year, we had a total of 17 children in attendance. This is the largest attendance we have had in quite a while and the children that came had a great time. There were even some older teens in attendance that had a great time as well, and showed interest in summer ministry. We plan to have another Party Club during Easter.
On December 27, our annual statewide event called The Return was held. This is when our summer missionaries from all over the state, past and present, get together for a time of fun and fellowship. It’s also where new prospective summer missionaries can come to learn more about the training. It’s part of our kickoff for recruiting summer missionaries. It was great to see some students that we have not seen since training ended, and to hear what the Lord has been doing in their lives. We had about 60 people in attendance. A former summer missionary, Ken Steele, who is now a pastor, gave a great challenge to our students. Many of the students I talked to are planning to come back for training. Overall, it was a great time.
Over the Christmas and New Year holidays, Wendy and I took some much needed time off for rest and relaxation. We had the opportunity to see all three of our grandchildren at our home, and it was a great joy having them there. Wendy is healing up very well from the surgery she had in October. She goes for another checkup on January 17. Pray that all goes well.

Mark your calendar for our annual banquet on April 6. This year, we will be at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ludington. Dinner will be served at 5 PM. Come and see what the Lord is doing in Shoreline.
National Conference
May 6-9 is the Child Evangelism Fellowship® National Conference at Ridgecrest Conference Center. We would like to be able to send our staff to this conference. It will cost $2,000 to do so. This would include conference registration, room and board, and travel expenses. Please pray that we will be able to raise the funds to send our staff to this great event.
Yes it is still winter outside, but we are starting to plan for the summer. In 2018 we had 13 5-Day Clubs, 277 enrolled, 12 salvations. We are praying for 18 clubs this summer. If you are interested in having a 5-Day Club®, please contact our office.
