Clubs—8

Salvation—7

After a great Christmas break, we were back up and running with our Good News Club® (GNC™) program when school was back in session. Some clubs started the first week back, some started the second week. It was so great to go back and see the children again who were so excited to be back in club. One new thing we wanted to try was doing a club live on Facebook. I got the idea from seeing other chapters do it. So, I decided to do it with the Shelby club. The first week, we had some technical difficulties and were not able to do it. The next week, everything worked and we went live. That week, there were 126 views. This was very exciting, and the children that were with us loved it. This is something we plan to continue.

January was a great restart of the clubs. All but one club showed an increase of at least one. A total of 20 new children started attending clubs. So far, there have been seven children that have received the Lord. As we move into February, our school year ministries are over half way done. That does seem hard to believe, but there are still clubs in the works. There are two that will be starting in February, and more are still in the works. We are getting closer to our goal of 13 clubs. Please pray that we’ll be able to reach our goal before the school year ends.

Fish Party

On January 8, we had another Party Club at the Ladder in Shelby. This was the fourth party club we’ve had at the Ladder and we were back to having it on Saturday afternoon. This time, it was a Fish Party; the lesson was on Jonah, which was fitting since he was swallowed by a great fish. We had ten children come to the last two clubs; this time, we had 11. Most of the children who have joined these clubs have been unchurched. We have been inviting them, and pray and hope they will start coming to our weekly GNC meeting across the street from the Ladder. Our next party club will be a Valentine Party.

The Shoreline Banquet is less than a month away on March 5. It will be held at New Era Bible starting at 4:30 with fellowship and the meal starting at 5:00. The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for children 5–12 years old. This is to cover the cost of the meal. There will be an offering taken to help with the general operation of Shoreline CEF. To reserve your spot call the office or Romayne Kroll at 231-894-5132. You can pay at the door or, if you want to pay before the banquet, you can send a check to the office with “Banquet meal” on the memo line or you can pay by PayPal. Our goal is to raise $10,000. Come and see what the Lord has done and the plans for the future. Come and give glory to God for what He has done and will do.

Yes, there is still snow on the ground, and the weather is very cold, but in just four short months summer will be here and the weather will be very warm. Planning for summer 5-Day Club® program is underway. Already, we have two clubs scheduled, and are hoping to schedule 16 or more clubs. Below are weeks we are planning clubs.

July 11–19; July 18–22; July 25–29

August 1–5; August 8–11; August 15–19

If you have a week that works for you to have a club, call the office and ask for Virginia to schedule your club. If there is a week that works better for you that is not shown, let us know and we will do our best to schedule your club in the week that will best fit you. Will you help us reach the children this summer?

With summer quickly approaching, plans for Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA™) have been underway. The leadership team has been meeting regularly to talk about CYIA 2022, and things are coming together. We are hoping for more teens to attend this year. Continue to pray for the leadership team as they will be meeting a couple more times before CYIA begins in June. Be in prayer for the teens that will be attending. Also, we are in need of volunteers to come to help serve in the kitchen. If this is something you can do, please call the Shoreline Office and talk to Sean. We are also asking for gift card donations to be used to purchase food for the training. If this is something you can do, call the office and Sean will give you details.

In Shoreline, four teens from last year are planning to come work with us again this summer. New teens are planning to come work with us as well. This summer, we will need to raise $15,000 for our teens. This will cover their training, pay (we could have three paid summer missionaries), materials, transportation, and food if needed. So far, two have turned in their applications, and there are others coming. Pray and ask the Lord how you can support our summer missionaries this summer.
