GOOD NEWS……

GOOD NEWS CLUBS……

GOOD NEWS CLUBS HAVE STARTED UP!

January has been an encouraging month for Shoreline CEF as we have had our Good News Clubs start up again for the winter/spring season.

In January, we had a new club start at Mears United Methodist Church.  They had four boys come to the first club, and the second week a new girl came also.  Pray for this new club, as this is also new to the people running the club.  They are excited about the boys and girl who are coming, and it is an encouragement to them also.

Virginia Campbell is canvassing the Fremont area at this time and is planning to start a club in the next two weeks.  Pray for Virginia and her helpers that they will be able to make contacts with a lot of children in this area.

In the month of January, we had six new children attend the Good News Clubs.  We are encouraged to see the numbers going up.

Thank you for all your prayers for the children, staff, and volunteers who are working diligently with keeping things going.

If you live in Shelby, Hart, Mears, White Cloud or Fremont and have children, grandchildren or neighbor kids, we would encourage you to invite these children to the Good News Clubs and bring them yourself.  What a great way for you to reach out to the children.

The planning for this year’s Christian Youth in Action® is in full swing. The leadership team has been meeting to help make the training a great experience for the teens that come. So far, we have six teens from Shoreline that have turned in their applications, and there are others that have taken applications or have shown interest. There is a possibility that we could have up to ten teens from our chapter. Be in prayer for training as it will be here before we know it. At this point, we are still planning to have the training at Grace Christian University

International Conference

Because of COVID-19, the International Conference for 2021 will not be held in person. In place of it, they are planning to do a digital conference. This way, no one will have to travel, yet still be able to attend. The dates will still be the same, May 3-7. The cost will be $25 if paid by March 1, after that it is $35 up to the deadline of April 25. The staff is planning to participate in this conference. Pray for our international team as they plan this big event.\

Committee Training

On January 23, the staff and committee were involved in a national committee training. This was done virtually from the Headquarters in Warrenton, MO. Most of our committee were able to be involved, along with over 300 others. The training went very well, and it was very informative.

Super Seminar Training

We held a Super Seminar training at Newman Christian Community Church in January. We were able to teach three class sessions: 1,2,3, Jesus Loves Me (Helping children understand the message of salvation), Life Changing Evangelistic Bible Lessons (How to prepare a Bible lesson), and Guiding A Child to the Savior (Counseling for salvation).  The training went very well, and the students said they learned a lot.
