Clubs—10

Enrolled—186

Salvations—5

We are now approaching the home stretch of our school-year ministries. In just over a month, most of the Good News Clubs will be finishing up for the school year, and we will be looking towards summer. During the month of January, we saw the Lord do some great things in the clubs. One thing we were very thankful for is that there were not very many snow days. Last year, many of our clubs were not even able to meet during the month of January, but this year it was totally different. We were able to see 12 new children start attending the clubs. Out of the ten clubs, five of them showed an increase in enrollment. The biggest enrollment increase was in the Patricia St. Claire club in Hesperia. This club had a total of nine new children start attending, which brought their enrollment up to 29. We are praying that we will have at least 14 more children start attending clubs this month. If this happens, this will bring us up to a total enrollment of 200 children.

We attempted to start a club in Hart. One of our supporting churches is allowing us to use their building for the club. Unfortunately, the first week we had no children come. The teacher of the club did hear that there might be children coming the second week. Pray that children will come and this club will start. We have been working hard at trying to get a club started in Walkerville. We are hoping that we will be able to get this club started this month.

Chapel Speaking

On January 13, I had the opportunity to speak in chapel at Oceana Christian school. This was the second time that I had the opportunity to speak there this school year. The day I spoke, there were 57 students in attendance, and all were very attentive to the lesson. Several of the younger kids raised their hands for salvation, but none of them came to talk to me. I pray that they did go talk to their teachers.

International Conference

May 4-9, 2020 is the Child Evangelism Fellowship® International Conference. Our registration for the conference is paid. We are still raising funds to cover the transportation costs to conference and back. We need to raise another $900. Pray that the rest will come in.

The Shoreline Chapter Banquet is March 7.

The theme is Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day. It will be held at New Era Bible Church. Tickets are now on sale: Adults—$15, Children 5—12 $10. If a person, business, or church would like to sponsor a table for $100, that includes eight tickets.

Plan to come and celebrate what the Lord has done this past year. We still have spots available. Contact our office to reserve your spot.

Summer Ministries

In the summer of 2019 we had a total of 17 5–Day Clubs. There was a total of 238 children who attended these clubs, with three coming to know Christ as Savior. In our fair and festival ministry, we were able to make 1,315 new contacts in seven different fairs and festivals. Our goal for this summer is to be able to have 18 5-Day Clubs throughout our chapter, and be able to make 1,500 contacts through our fair and festival ministry. In order to do this, we need people who are willing to open their homes to have clubs or volunteer time to come to one of our fairs or festivals this summer. Do you have children in your neighborhood that need to be reached? Do you have time when you can come to the fair to work with us for a day or an hour to help us reach people at the fair? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please contact our office and we can find a week for you to have a 5-Day Club® or a time that you can work at a fair or festival.

We are so excited that we have eight teens that will be working with us this summer. Five of them will be going to Christian Youth in Action®. For these teens, we need to raise $9,500. This will cover the cost of training, transportation, and food throughout the summer. So far $100 has come in There is a big summer planned; please pray that we will raise the funds needed for these teens.
