During November, we were able to get two new clubs started, one in New Era held at the Event Center. We have had one child come, and she has been really enjoying it. Because of the size of the club, we are planning to move it to our home, which is not too far from where we were holding the club. We are hoping to be able to bring it back to the Event Center, but, because of all the new regulations, we decided to move it. The other club started was in White Cloud, an area where we have never had a club. We are very thankful for Faith Bible Church opening their doors to us to have a club there. Two f our summer missionaries, Tamra and Rebekah Rumble, are teaching the club. It is very exciting to see our summer missionaries wanting to continue to teach after the summer is over. So far, there is one girl that has been coming every week. Our teens have been doing a great job at getting her involved in club. They have been working each week, going around the neighborhood, trying to invite more children to come. Overall, we have had a total of six new children start attending club, with one praying to receive Christ as Savior.
We are still working on getting clubs started in our target areas, but if we are not able to get in-person clubs started, we will start virtual clubs in these areas in January. There are two clubs in the works to start in January, one in Mears and the other in Ferry. We have not had Good News Clubs in these areas since I have been the director. Both areas have churches that want to sponsor these clubs and host them in their churches. Pray for us as we work to get these clubs started.
Areas we are targeting for clubs
Pentwater, Ludington, Scottville, Fremont, Hesperia, Mears
Teen Activity
On November 21, we had a Turkey Party for the teens at Virginia’s new apartment in Fremont. We made a Thanksgiving dinner for our teens, with turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and other good stuff. Some of the teens brought other food as well. We had a great time with games and fellowship, and no one left hungry.
Mark your calendar for our annual banquet on March 6. We’re planning to move forward with it despite what is going on with COVID-19. We know there will be a lot of potential changes between now and then. Be watching in future newsletters for any necessary changes. We do know that there will be something, whether in-person or virtual.

New Office Manager
We are so pleased to welcome Kathy Thomas on staff in Shoreline. Kathy faithfully served on our committee, and in Good News Clubs the past five years. She now serves as a part-time office manager. We are so thankful to have her on staff, and she has been a great blessing.
International Conference
Because of COVID-19, the International Conference for 2021 will not be held in person. In place of it, they are planning to do a virtual conference. This way, no one will have to travel, yet still be able to attend. The dates will still be the same, May 3-8. We were told that there will still be some kind of cost, but it will not be as much as in-person. The staff is still planning to participate in this conference. Pray for our international team as they plan this big event.
Trainings
We plan to have one or two trainings this spring. Teaching Children Effectively™ is a 33-hour, college-level course we offer through our Children’s Ministries Institute®. Because it is a college-level course, there is a cost and it will meet once or twice a week for a number of weeks. Another training we offer is Good News Club Quick Start training. This can be done in person with videos or online, in one or more days. If you have questions about any of the trainings, please contact our office.
