School year ministries are slowly coming to an end. What a great year we had. We praise the Lord for what He has done during this school year. Now, we are starting to prepare for our busiest time of the year.

Clubs—11

Enrollment—215

Salvations—24

Most of the Good News Club® (GNC™) for this year have come to an end. There are a few that will go until the end of April. During March, we were able to get a club started. Shoreline Child Evangelism Fellowship has partnered with Love INC of Oceana Co. every Monday night; while Love INC is teaching the adults, we are having a club with the children. The club is a very small club of two, but they are really good children that love the lessons and singing the songs. This club will go until the end of the month.

As this GNC season comes to an end, there are already plans for next school year. One of the big plans is to get another club going in the Ludington schools. I had a person talk to me about doing that. This person also has met with the other GNC teachers that teach in Ludington and Scottville and they are all excited about it. There are plans to move into an area that we have not been to before. I again would like to thank all the teachers and helpers that worked in the clubs this past year.

Many parents look for something their kids can do during their summer break. Hosting a 5-Day Club® in your neighborhood offers kids the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and helps them grow in their faith. The 5-Day Club is a fun , 90-minute program, lasting five days or less.

So far we have three clubs scheduled. We are praying for 15 or more clubs. The weeks we are scheduling clubs are listed. The times are: 10:00—11:30 a.m.; 1:00—2:30 p.m.; 3:30—5:00 p.m.;

6:30—8:00 p.m. If you do not see a week or time that will work for you, please contact our office and we will work out a week and time that will work.

Party Clubs

On March 11, there were two Party Clubs. One was at Brohman Chapel in Brohman. It was taught by Tamra and Rebekah Rumble. Five children came. The second one was at the Ladder in Shelby. The teachers and helpers were Sean and Wendy Southwell, Romayne Kroll, and Jenifer Syer. There Eleven children came and some parents stayed for the club as well. Both clubs went very well. So far this ministry year, we have had five Party Clubs. In April, there are two parties scheduled. Both are planned to be in the same places. Pray that children will come.

Family AfFAIR

On March 18, we were at the Family AfFAIR in Scottville. This was the first time that this fair met in person since COVID. At this event, there are businesses and other organizations that have things for children to do. This took up the whole high school. We had three different crafts for the children. We also did some Bible lessons for the ones that wanted to hear one. Every child that came through our room was given a gift bag on their way out that had the Gospel in it. There were 306 people that came through our room. It was so great to be able to have this fair in person. People were so happy to see it back.

Annual Banquet

On March 21, we held our annual Banquet at the Shack in White Cloud. This was the first time that we had a banquet at a setting like this. The Shack is a Christian retreat center that has beautiful buildings and grounds. CEF of MI has had retreats there before, but this was the very first time that the Shoreline Chapter had an event there. The staff of the Shack did all the set up and prepared all the food. All we had to do was provide some extra help and put together the program. This year, we set a goal to raise $8,500 for the banquet. This is something that we have never done before. So, before the banquet, we went to different businesses to help raise funds towards our goal. We were able to raise over half the goal by the banquet. By the end of the night, we not only made our goal, we passed it. We were able to raise $10,470. PRAISE THE LORD!! There were 120 people in attendance. The program went very well, everyone that had a part in it did very well. Several people showed interest in hosting a 5-Day Club, teacher training, and joining the committee. This was such a blessed night.

National Conference

Our Child Evangelism Fellowship® National Conference is coming up May 8–12 at Ridgecrest Conference Center in North Carolina. This is the time where CEF® workers from around the country come together for refreshment, challenges from the Word of God, equipping for the summer, and fellowship with each other. This year, they’re planning to have it in person for the first time since COVID hit us.  Sean and Wendy are registered for the conference. We still need $1,500 to cover all expenses such as room and board, and travel expenses. If you would like to give to help our staff go to National Conference, make checks payable to CEF with “Conference” in the memo line.

Summer Missionaries

We praise the Lord for the three young ladies that have committed to working with us this summer. All three will be paid summer missionaries. The goal for the girls is to raise $12,800. This will cover their training, pay, and other ministry expenses. They all sent out personal support letters to help with the support raising. So far, $865 has come in. If you would like to help these girls, you can give by PayPal or by check. Make checks payable to CEF with “summer missionaries” on the memo line. Do the same when you pay by PayPal.
