Goodbye to the Good News Club® season. The end of March has come and gone.

OH, WAIT!  GOOD NEWS CLUBS DONE?  NOT THIS YEAR!

Two churches have responded to our plea for new places to hold Good News Club. Walkerville United Methodist Church opened their doors for a Good News Club which started in March. There were ten new children at the clubs for the month of March.

On April 14, another Good News Club will be getting started at the Newman Christian Community Church. In May, we have another club starting, working with children while their parents are in classes.

So, as you can see, we are still busy with clubs. We are so thankful that we can reach more children. Please keep praying for these children at the clubs.

We will be looking for places to hold Good News Clubs again for next school season. We do not really know what will be happening with the public school systems, as to Child Evangelism Fellowship® going into their buildings to teach, so we are asking in advance if you would consider hosting a club at your home, or in your church next school season.

Even if you are tentatively considering hosting a club, would you call the CEF® office and let us know? We can work with you and figure out the best way to do the club for your area. We NEED your help more than ever with reaching the children in our communities for Christ.

If all the clubs start up as we are planning, the total for the year will be eight.  We want to double that number to 16 for the next school year. Would you help us get to that number?

Christian Youth in Action® is just two months away. It will be here soon. We have been a part of all the planning, and the closer we get, the more exciting it is. CYIA™ will be at Grace Christian University in Grand Rapids. Eight teens from our chapter have applied for the training, with the possibility of two more applying. All the teens have sent letters to help raise support for the training and the summer ministries. The summer need for the teens is $11,100. So far, the teens have raised $3,600. They need to raise $7,500 more. Pray that the rest will come in.

If you would like to support our teens, make check payable to CEF and designated it to Summer Ministries.

Our goal is to have 18 5-Day Clubs. Listed above are weeks and times that we are planning for clubs. Please call and let us know what week works for you to host a club. The times are adjustable to fit your schedule. Help us reach the children in your neighborhood with the Gospel.

Teen Activity

On March 12, we had a teen activity at the home of one of our committee members. We had walking tacos and played games. The teens had a great time together. We were able to talk to them about what to expect at Christian Youth In Action, and some even started to say the verses from the verse list they are required to memorize. It is great to see how excited the teens are about training.

Training

Sean and Wendy each participated in Teaching Children Effectively classes via Zoom. Wendy taught classes in Level 2. There were four students from around the state, and all did well. Sean is currently teaching classes in Level 1. There are five students from around the state.

Party Club

On March 27, we had an Easter Party Club at the home of one of our volunteers. The theme was Always True. The children colored eggs, and had an Easter egg hunt. A total of nine children came, and all had fun.

Banquet Presentation

Because of COVID restrictions, we are not able to have a banquet. So, we are doing presentations at churches. We did two during March, and we have four planned for April. Pray that they go well.

Work Wanted

Our summer missionaries are looking for ways they can raise funds for the summer. If you need something done around your home and need some young help, we could do what you need. Call the office, and we will set up a time that we can help you. If you would like, you can give a donation to CEF summer ministries.
