Director’s Address
PRAISE THE LORD for what he has done in our school year ministries. We have seen the Lord do great things this year through our Good News Clubs®. Through much prayer, we were able to reach our goal of 11 clubs, and over 200 children enrolled. Most importantly, we saw 22 children come to know Christ as Savior. During March, we had five new children start attending club. All of our clubs that were held in the public schools have ended for the school year. The West Golden club and the Hart club will continue through the end of April. Continue to pray for these two clubs, that they will finish well, and for the teaching teams.
On March 3, we had a statewide event called The Return that was held in Lansing. This is where teens from all over the state that have attended, or plan to attend our Christian Youth in Action® training get together. This was the second of two events. We had a very small crowd, but we still had a great time seeing teens that we haven’t seen since last summer and hearing about what the Lord is doing. We had one teen from our chapter go, and she really enjoyed herself.
We were able to have another Easter party club at New Era Bible Church. We are so thankful that they allow us to hold party clubs there twice a year. We had eight children in attendance, and most of them attended school clubs in the area. All the children that came had a great time.
On March 17, we once again had the opportunity to be a part of the Family AfFair at Mason County Central High School in Scottville. We had puzzles for the children to put together, and gospel bracelets for them to make. If they didn’t want to make one, we had some already made for them to take. Several of the children that came in were able to hear the gospel, but every child received a gospel tract in their bag of prizes as they left. We were able to make contact with 280 people. We were able to talk to several adults about our 5-Day Club ministry coming up. Overall, it was a great time, and we plan to be back there again.
We would like to thank everyone who attended our annual banquet at Shelby Rd. Baptist Church. We had a great attendance, and all seemed to enjoy the food and the program. We would like to give a special thanks to Shelby Rd. Baptist Church for allowing us to use their facility.

As of the end of March
Summer is almost here, and we are looking for people willing to host 5-Day Clubs®. We are excited to say that, at this point, we have five clubs already scheduled for the summer. This is more th
an we had last year at this very same time. Our goal is to have 18 clubs, so we need just 13 more. We still have room for more clubs. If there are children around you, or you know where children are, you can have a club. Will you pray and ask God if this is something he wants you to do to help us reach the children in the Shoreline chapter.

We are happy that Hailey, Madison, and Taylor Westerbeek are planning on working with us again this summer. Hailey will be serving at our Christian Youth in Action as student staff, and Madison and Taylor will be students. All three of them helped last year and had a big impact on the children’s lives. We are praying that God will use them in a great way in our clubs and fairs this summer.
Training Opportunities
Another big summer ministry in our chapter is the fair and festival ministry. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to come out and help us at events. Last year, we were at seven different events and shared the gospel with over 1,000 people. If you are interested in being a part of our fair and festival ministry, we are offering training on May 12 and 19. At these trainings, you will be trained on fair ministry. At the fair, we need people to help with Bible lessons, face painting, and games. We are also offering a Wordless Book training on June 2. For this training, we will be partnering with the Muskegon chapter. If you want to come to one of these trainings, please contact our office and let us know which one you plan to come to, and we will let you know the location of the training.
